 She watched him swagger to his chair.

“Get me a drink bitch, now!” he bellowed.

The bottle in her pocket felt as heavy as her emotions since she found his mementos, each one taken from a child. She had wept over the backpacks and shoes, the horror of his actions more than she could process. It took two seconds to squirt the milky liquid into the wine.

“Now bitch! ” He screamed.

She returned,  holding her breath as he raised the glass, but she couldn’t be like him, she couldn’t! Swatting the glass from his hand she grabbed her phone and dialed 911 before bolting into the night. He glared, she smiled when they locked the handcuffs.
